Which household appliances consume the most electricity?
These are the devices.
- TV. When working for five hours, it consumes up to 21 kW/h.
- TV set-top box. A satellite set-top box requires approximately 25 kW/h to operate.
- Washing machine. It consumes electricity even when in standby mode – up to 0.03 kW/h per day.
- Electric kettles. In active mode, it winds up to 30 kW/h per month.
- Computer. It is better to disconnect it from the network at night - it consumes up to 0.14 kW/h in the off mode.
- Chargers. One unit uses 1.5 kWh per day if the charger is actually charging the phone.
- Vacuum cleaner. Up to 8 kWh per month, if used one hour per week.
- Microwave. On average, it consumes up to 13 kW/h per month.
