Soda
This method is probably one of the most common. If you have purchased a new carpet that smells bad, you should thoroughly treat it.
To do this, cover the entire surface with a layer of soda and leave it for a day. All that remains is to go through with a vacuum cleaner and remove the powder.
If the problem is local (for example, a pet "made a puddle" on a certain area of the carpet), then first remove the cause of the unpleasant odor, then dilute the soda with water and apply a layer to the carpet.
When the product dries, you need to brush it off. Remove the remains with a vacuum cleaner.
Peroxide with dishwashing gel
This product will help remove the polluting element if necessary, and also return the normal smell to the product. Take some peroxide for one part of water, pour in a little gel.
The product must be mixed and applied to the surface for 15 minutes. Then clean the carpet to remove any remaining product.
Potassium permanganate
To deal with the unpleasant smell, you need to dilute a little potassium permanganate in water. The solution should be pink.
