What to do if the laminate creaks: a simple way to eliminate the unpleasant sound

The most common reason for creaking in laminate flooring is defects in the subfloor or subfloor.

If there are any depressions here, even minimal ones, the laminate will most likely start to creak over time.

Luckily, you don't have to dismantle the entire floor to fix the mistake. First, figure out where the creaking noise is coming from, and then locate the center of the depression.

Place a piece of masking tape here and use a drill to drill a hole in the laminate. Vacuum up the shavings and then fill the hole with liquid nails.

You may have to repeat this operation several times. Leave the syringe inside and stomp around to ensure that the glue fills all the gaps.

You don't need a syringe anymore - place the boards parallel to each other on both sides of the hole, and place the third board across the top and press down on it with all your might.

A small amount of glue should come out. If this does not happen, you should add liquid nails.

Once you are sure that enough glue has been used, place a weight on top of the boards and leave it there until the glue has completely dried.
