But if you use a little imagination, it won't be difficult to cool a living room on a hot afternoon. The costs will be zero and you won't even need a fan.

How to proceed
You won't have to buy a fan or roller blinds. It will be enough to hang a piece of cloth soaked in cool water on the window.
You can even use a regular sheet. The color doesn't matter.
The trick is that the damp fabric will block the sunlight, while the moisture will evaporate, refreshing and humidifying the air in the room.
As a last resort, you can draw the curtains and wet them with a spray bottle.
It is best to use cotton materials or others that absorb moisture well.
This could be linen or old terry towels.
You will need to lay a dry rag on the window sill or on the floor so that water dripping from the material does not spoil the coating.
