If you want your cast iron cauldron to look like new even after many years, you will have to work hard.

The reason is that, as a rule, such products are quite rough at the bottom.

Less talk – let’s get down to business. To clean dishes whose surface is covered with long-standing carbon deposits, you will need a large saucepan, into which you should pour 3 liters of warm water.

Add here two thirds of a piece of 72% laundry soap, crushed using a grater.

You will need a few more ingredients – 6 tablespoons of soda ash and 250 ml of transparent office glue.

Stir the contents of the pan thoroughly until completely dissolved.

Place the dishes that need cleaning in the resulting solution, then move the resulting structure to the fire and leave it on the stove for an hour, turning on the flame at low power.

After this procedure, the carbon deposits will soften and you will be able to remove them by scraping them off with a knife and an iron sponge.
