Here's what to do if your new shoes or boots start to squeak when you walk.
1. Manufacturing defect
This is the main reason that is considered in such a situation. The creaking can be caused by poor gluing of the main parts, poorly fixed insole, etc. All these defects can be eliminated.
Shoes may squeak due to tension in the threads in the seams or the load on the sole. It is possible that the squeak will disappear on its own after a couple of days.
2. Wet shoes
If you get caught in the rain or your feet sweat a lot, don't be surprised if your shoes creak. You'll have to dry the pair more often after wearing them.
3. Leather shoes
Its peculiarity is that it may require not only cleaning, but also lubrication. Treatment with Vaseline, castor oil or drying oil will help (but after drying oil you will have to wait until the smell disappears).
4. Sole
It should be elastic. If the material is very hard, you can leave the shoes on a damp cloth or warm them up with a hair dryer for 15 minutes.
5. Heels
Perhaps the arch support is deformed or the heel is unstable. In this case, you can’t do without the help of a specialist.
