There are many surfaces in an apartment that quickly become covered in dust.

We are talking about tables, shelves, chests of drawers, nightstands and many other pieces of furniture.

If you ignore the problem, over time these things will become covered in a thick layer of dust. It will be embarrassing to invite guests to your home.

To avoid getting into such a situation, furniture should be wiped down periodically.

It would seem that there is nothing complicated about this. It is enough to "go over" the surface with some piece of fabric.

However, it is not that simple. Not all rags are suitable for removing dust from furniture. If you make a wrong choice, you can only make the situation worse.

What fabric would be suitable?

Microfiber cloths are best for wiping dust.

This material will not leave any marks on the surface. At the same time, it will remove absolutely all dust and remove moisture.

But there is no need to remove small solid particles using a rag made from old clothes.

This material will certainly leave numerous lint and pieces of thread on the furniture.

It may be possible to remove the dust. But the surface will still not be clean. You will have to wipe it again.
