1. It is believed that you cannot hang someone else's mirror in your home. There is an opinion that it "stores" the energy of the previous owners.
2. An old belief says that for 40 days after a person's death, mirrors should be covered with thick dark fabric, because the soul of the deceased wanders the world for exactly this period. If the mirror is opened, the soul can "get stuck" and remain in it forever.
3. You can't stare into the mirror for a long time. The sign says that in this way a person can give away part of his health and attract illnesses.
4. Another sign warns women. It is believed that two ladies should not look in the mirror at the same time. They say that in the future they will fall in love with the same person or will compete with each other.
5. One of the beliefs says that a mirror breaks during the period when it has accumulated a large amount of negativity. It is believed that a magical object, when broken, takes all the bad luck with it. Therefore, the sign is called lucky, but it is important not to look into the shards.
