According to another belief, it is dangerous to leave a knife on the table, because evil forces can harm a person. Allegedly, after this, a series of minor troubles will begin: accidental cuts, everything will fall out of your hands and break, etc.
People also believed that pregnant women should not leave a knife on the table overnight. There were beliefs that the devil could harm the child.
It was said that in the dark hours of the day, a knife on the table "cuts" the luck and health of the residents. Therefore, an uncleaned kitchen tool promises illnesses and problems in the family or at work.
