There are repellents that can repel both small blood-sucking insects, such as mosquitoes, and more dangerous parasites – ticks.

If you are concerned that store-bought anti-tick products may harm your skin and overall health, you can prepare such a composition yourself.

They say that after this smell, ticks will run away on their own, as if scalded, and there will be no harm to health.

Moreover, in comparison with industrial analogues, the cost of a home spray will be mere pennies.

It can be used when going to the forest, to nature or just to the country.

How to proceed

Rarely does anyone react negatively to the smell of mint, but ticks simply cannot stand it.

As it has already become clear, the main component of the home spray will be the oil of this plant.

You will need two teaspoons of alcohol, 250 grams of water, two teaspoons of mint essential oil.

Mix all ingredients and pour into a suitable container with a spray bottle.

It is noteworthy that the shelf life of the spray is more than six months.

It can be safely applied to exposed areas of the body and even to clothes and shoes.
