Thrifty owners do not throw away old socks, but use them in everyday life.
There are dozens of situations when even holey socks can come in handy for household chores.
The sock is filled with cotton wool or foam rubber, tied, and then decorated with jingling fittings. Such toys are usually made for cats.
There are two options - cut off the bottom and sew the cover or immediately use an old sock as a cover for the furniture legs. The question is aesthetic, it does not affect the functionality.
Add 2-3 tablespoons of salt to short summer socks, tie them up, add 3-5 drops of essential oil and place them in winter shoes. The salt will absorb moisture, and the essential oil will fill the shoe with a pleasant smell. When the socks dry, you can use them to polish your shoes until they shine.
In this case, the socks are filled with foam rubber, cotton wool or synthetic padding. Only the lower part of the old thing is needed. After filling, the pad is sewn up.
