At first glance, this is indeed the case, but there is one thing: often such products have metal inserts around which dirt accumulates.

It is unlikely that you will be able to remove solidified fat and dried-on food particles using just a sponge and detergent.

Such stains should first be soaked and then removed using an old toothbrush, the tip of a knife or a wooden skewer.

What can be used at the first stage?

3% hydrogen peroxide, poured under the rim of the lid, softens even old dirt perfectly. After 10 minutes, you can start cleaning.

Alternatively, use a mixture of laundry soap and baking soda.

Place the lids in a large container, add 5 liters of water, 5 tablespoons of soda and 1 tablespoon of laundry soap shavings.

You should boil the lids over low heat for 15 minutes, and then proceed according to the old scheme.
