Most pleated skirts can be made without ironing - just shake them out of the washing machine and hang them on a dryer.
After the product has dried, you should only iron the lining.
But if unsightly creases do form, you need to do the following.
First, place the skirt on the narrow end of the ironing board. There is no need to tighten the belt.
Using light movements, return the folds to their gathered state.
Go over the folds with an iron. It is recommended to use a gentle temperature and moderate steaming.
Strong steaming is also not prohibited, however, in this case the iron should be held in a suspended position so that the sole does not crush the fabric.
Now all that's left is to turn the garment over with the unironed side facing you, and repeat the same steps again. Don't be afraid to iron - the gentle temperature setting is not able to cope with the factory press, so the folds on the hem will not be damaged.
