Mounting foam is often used for sealing and soundproofing windows.

Unfortunately, rarely any construction or repair work can be done without dirt, so traces of sealant left on plastic windows are not such a rare occurrence.

But don’t be too upset: there are several very effective methods for removing this type of contamination, for which you won’t even need special preparations.

So, if the foam has not yet hardened, you can try to remove it using heated vegetable oil.

Soak a soft sponge in warm fat and wipe the stained area. According to reviews, the oil can even cope with hardened sealant.

True, in this case, the oil composition will have to be left on the surface for at least 20-30 minutes, and then wipe the window.

If this method does not help, try removing the foam after polymerization with the pharmaceutical drug "Dimexide".

First, cut off the foam with a sharp tool, then apply a cotton pad soaked in the solution to the surface. After a couple of minutes, wipe off the remaining sealant.
