This is exactly why a coin is thrown into the vase. The authors of the trick claim that soon after this, compounds are formed in the water that prolong the "life" of the bouquet.
In addition, no plaque forms on the vase, which is then difficult to wash off.
However, there is an important condition. Copper must be present in the alloy. Of all the coins in Belarus, 1, 2 and 5 kopecks are best. Of the Russian coins, the ruble and five-ruble coins are suitable.
