The seemingly simplest tasks are those that many of us fail to cope with. Among them is washing windows.
It may look easy, but in reality even the most experienced housewife will learn something new from simple window cleaning tips.
Fill a bucket or large pot with clean, cool water and add a few drops of liquid dishwashing detergent.
Use a clean microfiber cloth or sponge to go over the surface of the window, starting at the top and working your way down. Be sure to wipe down the frame, both inside and out, as well.
Spray the window thoroughly with a solution of vinegar and water (2 tablespoons per 1 liter of water) or any other glass cleaner.
Using a clean, lint-free towel or paper towels, wipe the glass to dry the windows and avoid streaks.
If dirt or streaks remain, spray and dry again. Dirty windows usually require two cycles of spraying and drying.
Keep in mind: It's best to work on a cool, cloudy day so that the soapy water and window cleaning solution don't dry on your windows before you have a chance to wipe them dry.
