A great help for modern housewives is a glass cleaner. Just wash away the dirt, apply the spray and wipe with a rag, and the windows will become clean and sparkling.
But there are even more clever ways to wash windows in a house or apartment without streaks, even if you don’t have window spray. We’ll tell you what to add to the water.
Kitchen windows, where grease, soot and other deposits can accumulate, are easiest to clean by adding a little soda to the water. For 1 liter of water, take 1 teaspoon of soda, or you can add it to a solution of laundry soap, dissolving shavings in water.
In advanced cases, the glass is washed with a soda solution, which is left on the glass for 10-15 minutes.
By the way, this same composition can be used to clean plastic frames and window sills, which tend to turn yellow under direct sunlight.
Another secret to streak-free windows is to wash them with cold water, not hot or warm water.
To add shine, it will be enough to add 9% table vinegar - 1 tbsp. per liter of water.
After this, you can wipe the windows the old-fashioned way - with newspapers or a clean rag, preferably lint-free.
It seems incredible, but you can clean up your windows after winter dirt with potato starch. It is better not to cheat with the tubers, but immediately add a teaspoon of starch to 1 liter of water, wash and wipe dry. To consolidate the result, you can wipe the glass with a vinegar solution or add a little glycerin to the water.
