How to Properly Store Lids: Stop Putting Them in a Bag
Any housewife who is fond of canning will have a whole scattering of lids in one of her kitchen cupboards.
Most often they lie in a shapeless bag or even roll back and forth inside the box.
To tidy up your kitchen, you don’t even need to run to the store for containers or other storage systems.
All you need is a few plastic bottles of different sizes.
For standard size lids you will need a 2-liter container, empty of course.
Cut off the top from the place where the narrowing occurs using a sharp knife and you can begin filling the container with new contents.
For tiny lids, like those left over from a mustard jar, use a small bottle – a half-liter will probably be enough.
Thanks to this simple life hack, you can easily keep your kitchen tidy and the lids will be in plain sight – you can even count them if you want.
