How to deal with limescale on a tap without damaging the plumbing: a time-tested method

As you know, to clean taps installed in the kitchen or bathroom from limescale, you should not use acids in high concentrations.

But weakly acidic solutions will successfully cope with this kind of contamination without damaging the appearance of the products.

To prepare the cleaning solution, you will need to mix equal volumes of water and 9% vinegar.

Alternatively, dissolve 1 teaspoon of citric acid in the liquid and you can start cleaning.

And those who have a lemon lying around in the refrigerator don’t need to bother with making a cleaning agent at all, because the taps can simply be wiped with half of the sour citrus fruit.

Unfortunately, it happens that limescale cannot be cleaned, which raises doubts about the effectiveness of such recommendations.

All you need to do in this case is to soak the dirt. To do this, soak toilet paper or a rag in the cleaner and wrap it around the taps.

After 10-15 minutes, the “compress” must be removed and the plumbing must be wiped again.
