How to clean grease and dirt from a kitchen sponge: one cheap product will give excellent results
Kitchen sponges get dirty and covered with a sticky film quite quickly.

However, experienced housewives have found a way to “extend the life” of sponges.
In this regard, one cheap and accessible product will help, which you don’t even have to buy specially: you probably already have it in your kitchen cupboard.
What product are we talking about?
The most common table salt will help to clean a kitchen sponge. This spice should be added to the water in which the product will be “processed”.
It is advisable to start the procedure in the evening. You need to take a deep container and pour hot water into it. Two glasses should be enough.
For this volume of liquid, you should add a couple of tablespoons of salt.
After thorough mixing, you will get a solution designed for cleaning the sponge.
The dirty product should be placed in a container and left there overnight. Most likely, in the morning the kitchen sponge will be free of dirt and sticky layer.
Of course, you shouldn't wash dishes with such a product. But it's quite suitable for wiping surfaces.
However, excessive savings are not necessary. If the sponge is heavily soiled and cleaning with salt water does not give much result, it is better to buy a new product.
