How to peel jacket potatoes in just a second: not every housewife knows

Jacket potatoes are a basic ingredient for many salads and are simply a quick way to prepare tasty and healthy food.

Boiling potatoes in their skins is such a trifle that it is not worth mentioning. The only difficulty is peeling the vegetable – the skin is very sticky.

There's a trick that lets you peel a jacket potato in seconds. Here's where to start.

1. After washing the potatoes, before placing them in a pot to boil, take the trouble to make a transverse cut around the axis of the tubers. It is desirable that the beginning of the cut and its end coincide at one point.

2. Feel free to place the potatoes in water and cook for as long as required. Don't worry about the cut - the taste will not be affected.

3. Just before you are ready to remove the boiled potatoes from the stove, prepare a suitable sized container with ice water. You will need to cool the finished tubers in it.

4. Drain the water and quickly transfer the vegetables to cool for 10-15 seconds.

5. After this, all that remains is to take the potato out of the water and simply pull the peeled skin from different ends of the tuber.

With this simple method, you can peel a whole mountain of jacket potatoes in a matter of minutes without much effort.
