How to sharpen meat grinder knives: even a lady can handle it

Meat grinder knives sometimes don't know sharpening from the moment the manufacturer ships them from the factory.

Either the housewives are happy with everything, or they simply do not think about this procedure. When the time comes, the knives are simply replaced with new ones, although sharpening them is a piece of cake that even a lady can handle.

There is an opinion that if you grind slightly frozen meat in a meat grinder, there will be no difficulties in preparing minced meat.

Household experts assure that a sharp knife will cope with the task even if the meat is thoroughly melted. Therefore, it is possible and necessary to sharpen the blades for the meat grinder.

How to sharpen a knife

It only seems technically complicated. But in fact, even a lady can sharpen a blade without damaging her manicure.

To do this, you will need a flat surface and a piece of sandpaper marked P320 or P400, measuring 20 by 30 cm.

Next, take the blade, place it on the sandpaper with the cutting side down, press a little and make rotational movements in a convenient direction.

Once the blades are shiny, the knife can be placed in the meat grinder and minced meat.

If you don’t like the look of the darkened metal grill, you can clean it in the same way.

Experienced specialists also note that the mesh also needs to be sharpened, since it is also considered a knife. Such sharpening should be done on a hard and perfectly flat surface, or better yet, on a machine with a special disk for this purpose.
