Apples won't survive such a neighborhood: next to this fruit, the fruits will rot instantly

It is better to find another place for the apples, otherwise in a couple of days you will have to throw out the rotten fruits.

Gardeners and vegetable growers know that a plot should be planned taking into account the characteristics of plants. Some crops get along well next to each other, while others do not.

The same is true for fruits. In certain cases, fruits can rot in a matter of days, or even a day.

Apples can be stored for several weeks. They are placed on one of the shelves of the refrigerator or put in a fruit bowl on the kitchen table.

If apricots are the apples' "neighbors", the fruit will quickly rot. The problem is that this fruit emits ethylene, which causes apples to ripen. When the fruit is already ripe, the rotting process begins.

Therefore, it is recommended to store apples and apricots separately, so that the former can last not a couple of days, but several weeks. A similar rule applies to apples and bananas. In addition, it has been noted that the taste of this fruit deteriorates if potatoes or carrots are stored nearby.
