Marks left by permanent marker are among the most difficult to remove.
However, this is not a reason to sit back: here are 5 ways to help restore your furniture to its original appearance.
The first thing to try is a simple eraser. If the surface is smooth, it will certainly erase the stains completely. At the very least, the stripes will definitely become lighter.
If you have to deal with a light wooden surface, apply the paste to the stain and rub it in lightly, and after a couple of minutes, wash it off with a sponge soaked in warm water.
Any liquid that contains enough alcohol will do. Soak a cotton pad in salicylic acid, vodka or medical alcohol and run it over the marker marks several times.
By mixing equal amounts of baking soda and water, you will get a cleaning paste that needs to be applied to the dirty area (do not rub). After a few minutes, remove the remaining soda with a cloth soaked in warm water.
Solvent or acetone should not be used on painted or varnished furniture, but is a great option for plain wood surfaces.
