The wall behind the stove, which is most often tiled, is perhaps one of the dirtiest places in the kitchen.

The reason is simple - during cooking, there is no way to protect this area from splashes of oil and pieces of food being cooked.

Once the grease drops harden, dust sticks to them tightly. Needless to say, it is difficult to clean this area.

However, experienced housewives have long ceased to be afraid of such contamination, because thanks to one folk cleaning method, solving the problem of dirty tiles is as easy as pie.

The first thing you need to do is wet the surface with warm water.

After this, using the hard side of a dish sponge, apply mustard powder to the tiles.

If you don't have this product at hand, use regular baking soda. It will cope with dirt just as well.

After 10-15 minutes, you can finish what you started using a soft metal mesh designed for washing dishes.
