Users of the popular messenger Telegram need to be careful.
After all, through this application, scammers began to implement a new scheme.
The attackers operate as follows: they write to a person from an account called “Security Tips”.
The user receives a warning from the scammers that his account will allegedly soon be blocked if he fails to perform one action.
Next comes a request to follow a link. The latter is the "trap".
The Russian news agency TASS drew attention to the fraudsters’ new strategy.
You should be concerned if you receive messages from an account called "Safety Tips."
The interlocutor will tell you about alleged “fraudulent activity with the account.”
Your account will soon be limited - this is the warning you will receive.
Next, a request will be received to make a transition to a certain “system center”: there, the user will supposedly have to confirm his account.
Otherwise, we will block your account, - such a warning will appear. However, it will not specify who "we" are.
Received such messages? Know: you are not dealing with service notifications from the messenger, but with scammers.
Do not click on the link you receive under any circumstances! It is most likely a phishing link.
In other words, we are talking about a link to a fake page. If you enter your personal data there, you will lose it.
