On Friday, November 15, a friendly football match between the national teams of Russia and Brunei took place in Krasnodar.
As a result of the fight, the Russians achieved a record victory for themselves.
The Russian team defeated the team representing the Sultanate on the island of Kalimantan with a score of 11:0.
The Russian national team has never previously won with such a huge difference in score, TASS reports.
Following the match held in Krasnodar, the Russian team broke the record for the number of goals scored in one game.
The figure is now 11.
The Russians set their previous record in the summer of 2019 as part of the Euro 2020 qualifiers (the final stage of the tournament actually took place in 2021).
Then the Russian team defeated San Marino with a score of 9:0.
The match with Brunei was only the fourth for the Russians, who have been suspended from important international football competitions, since the beginning of this year.
In the previous three games, the Russian team won against Serbia (4:0), Belarus (4:0) and Vietnam (3:0).
