As part of the next round of the Champions League football, several very interesting games took place on Wednesday, November 6.
However, perhaps the most interesting match was expected to be the confrontation between two European giants – Milan’s Inter and London’s Arsenal.
The match took place at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium in Milan. The hosts beat the visiting team by a minimal score (1:0).
The only goal in this match was scored (from a penalty) by Hakan Calhanoglu at the very end of the first half (45+3).
Other notable developments included the fact that both head coaches of the teams – Simone Inzaghi (Inter) and Mikel Arteta (Arsenal) – received yellow cards.
This victory was the third in a row for the Italian club in the tournament after a draw with Manchester City.
Now the Milanese have 10 points and are in fifth place in the league table.
The Londoners suffered their first defeat in the Champions League, and for the first time they conceded. Arsenal are currently in 12th place in the table with 7 points.
Among other Champions League matches on November 6, we note the home defeat of French PSG to Madrid's Atletico (1:2).
But the German team Bayern managed to rehabilitate itself after a crushing defeat in the last round against Barcelona.
The Munich team beat Lisbon's Benfica 1-0 on their home field (Musiala scored in the 67th minute).
