Sad news came from Belarusian sports – young bodybuilder Ilya Efimchuk has died.

The Belarusian, who was well-known in his circles, was only 36 years old. His death was reported by the athlete's wife Anna on one of the social networks.

As the Belta agency writes , according to the text of the message, which is cited by many leading Russian media outlets, the husband’s heart stopped at home.

This happened last Friday, September 6. The bodybuilder was taken to the hospital.

At the medical facility, the athlete's heart started beating for two days, but later doctors declared him brain dead.

Efimchuk reportedly ate seven full meals a day to maintain his fitness level.

The bodybuilder's diet was 16,500 calories, his weight was 158 kilograms with a height of 185 centimeters.

The Belarusian's record in squats and deadlifts was 317 kg, and in bench press – 272 kg.
