Football coach named person of the year in Grodno
The "Person of the Year of the City of Grodno" award was received by the head coach of the local football club "Neman" Igor Kovalevich.
The press service of the Grodno team, which, by the way, is currently leading the tournament table of the Belarusian championship, reported about the event on its official Telegram channel.
The report says that the commander-in-chief of Neman was awarded a prize in the Sports and Physical Culture category.
Please note: Kovalevich was awarded for:
– high sporting achievements in the country’s football tournaments among the teams of the Major League;
– personal participation in the development and popularization of football in Grodno.
Commenting on receiving the award, Kovalevich said that this was a recognition of the work of the entire coaching staff of Neman, everyone involved with the team.
He also noted that he was “happy and pleased to be involved in the team’s work” and promised to finish the championship “on a good note.”
The specialist separately thanked the fans of Neman, pointing out that they always sincerely worry about their club, support it, and “drive it forward.”
And we want to repay them with good play and dedication,” said Kovalevich.
The head coach wished all Grodno residents a good time on the city’s birthday, to rejoice for “one of the best” Belarusian cities, as well as health and happiness.
