This week winter has asserted its rights in Belarus. Frosts have hit, snow has fallen, there have even been blizzards, and black ice and icy roads have become more frequent.

And what will happen during the next seven days of December? The country will feel the "warm breath of the Atlantic".

This is what the famous meteorologist Dmitry Ryabov said on the ONT TV channel, adding that many days of the coming week will be marked by a thaw.

Precipitation, fog and slippery roads

According to him, the period from September 16 to 22 is expected to be very cloudy, windy and damp.

The beginning of the week will be cloudy, in many regions of Belarus precipitation will fall in the form of snow, sleet and rain.

Some locations in the republic will be shrouded in fog, and some sections of roads will still be icy.

Plus, there will be a gusty wind. It will blow from the northwest.

At night, the air temperature across the country will range from six degrees below zero to one degree above zero.

On Monday afternoon – from -2 to +7, on Tuesday – from +1 to +6 degrees.

Midweek

A slight cooling is likely in the middle of the week. The weather will be cloudy with wet snow and rain.

But the wind will calm down - it will be moderate, southwesterly is expected.

At night and in the morning - fog, ice and black ice. Temperature on the night from Wednesday to Thursday - from -3 to +3 degrees, during the day - from -2 to +3 degrees.

The second half of the week – variable cloudiness, rain with snow, moderate south-west wind.

Nighttime temperatures range from -6 to 0 degrees. On Thursday and Friday during the daytime – from -7 to +2 degrees.

Weekend

The next weekend in Belarus will be marked by wet snow, rain, gusty westerly winds, night and morning fogs.

Thermometers will show from -1 to +5 degrees at night, from -2 to +2 degrees on Saturday during the day, and up to +3 degrees on Sunday.
