A sharp rise in prices for chocolate and sweets in Belarus is not expected in the run-up to the New Year.
This was announced by the head of the Belgospischeprom concern Oleg Zhidkov on November 12 on the sidelines of the Prodexpo-2024 exhibition and fair.
His statement is cited by BELTA .
Commenting on media reports about the increase in the cost of chocolate production due to price hikes for cocoa products, Zhidkov stated that this had virtually no effect on Belarus.
The price is growing within 3-3.5%, ” he specified.
The head of the concern continued that it is possible to keep prices down thanks to internal reserves.
We try to sell at a higher price on external circuits, ” explained Zhidkov.
According to him, there will be no sharp rise in prices for chocolate and sweets in the run-up to the New Year.
The head of Belgospischeprom added that, overall, the concern has maintained positive export growth dynamics over the past three years.
Traditionally, we grow above 100%, and we intend to complete 2024 at a rate of 106-110%, the head of the concern concluded.
