Will affect many. Important bills approved in the Council of the Republic

On Monday, November 18, 2024, parliamentarians approved several important bills in the Council of the Republic.
The innovations that may come into effect in Belarus in the near future will affect many citizens in one way or another.
Perhaps one of the most important approved projects is the document on the activities of the Social Security Fund.
Social Security Fund and Education
As reported by the ONT TV channel, it is expected that the expenditure and income parts of the Social Security Fund will grow significantly.
What will remain unchanged is that, as before, the majority of funds are intended to finance pension and benefit payments.
Another important draft law is “On Amending Codes on Education Issues.”
The innovations it provides are aimed at ensuring greater accessibility of education for all categories of Belarusians.
As for innovations in this area, the requirements for school uniforms have been set out in a document. Students are required to wear business attire.
Another new feature is that in large populated areas, schoolchildren will be transported free of charge not only to educational institutions, but also to venues where sports and cultural events are taking place.
Other bills
Also at the session meeting, senators approved the draft law “On Amending Laws on Issues of State Registration of Real Estate, Rights to It, and Transactions with It.”
In addition, draft laws concerning licensing, precious metals and stones, international cooperation, etc. were approved.
The approved documents must be signed by the President of Belarus.
