This year, 132.6 thousand people received state targeted social assistance (SASA) in Belarus.
The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection told who is eligible for it.
As reported by the Minsk-Novosti agency with reference to the Ministry of Labor, GASP includes four social payments.
The first is a monthly social benefit for families in the amount of 433 rubles, paid to families whose per capita income, for objective reasons, is below the need criterion (433 rubles).
This social benefit is assigned to large families with an average per capita income of no more than 1.15 times the need criterion (497.85 rubles).
The second social payment is a one-time social benefit paid to citizens who find themselves in a difficult life situation, with an average per capita income of no more than 1.5 times the need criterion (649.5 rubles).
The third payment is a social benefit to cover the cost of diapers, paid to minor disabled children with a fourth degree of loss of health (regardless of the family's income).
For disabled persons of the first group, this benefit is paid on the basis of an individual rehabilitation program or the conclusion of a medical advisory commission, provided that there are documents confirming the expenses.
The amount of the benefit is determined based on expenses in an amount not exceeding 1.5 times the subsistence minimum budget.
The fourth type of GASP is the provision of food to children under 2 years of age. It is paid to families with income below the need criterion and at the birth of twins or more children.
According to the Ministry of Labor, the average monthly social benefit this year was 142 rubles, a one-time benefit was 240 rubles, a benefit for hygiene items was 565 rubles, and food for children was 140 rubles. A total of 140 million rubles are allocated for the payment of the State Social Insurance Fund in 2024.
