According to weather forecasters, frosts will come to Belarus this weekend.
On Saturday night the air temperature will drop to -11 degrees.
However, the cold snap will not last long – already on Monday the daytime temperature will reach +8 degrees, pogoda.by reports.
On Saturday, December 14, the weather will be determined mainly by an area of high atmospheric pressure.
A frontal section will be responsible for weather conditions in the north of the country.
It will be partly cloudy. Snow and light snowstorms are expected in the north, no significant precipitation is forecast for the rest of the territory. Gusty winds are possible in the northeastern regions.
At night it will get colder, to 5-11 degrees below zero, and during the day it will be from -5 to +1 degrees.
On Sunday, weather conditions will be determined by atmospheric fronts from the North Atlantic cyclone.
It will be cloudy, with snow and sleet precipitation throughout the country, and rain in the southwestern regions during the day.
Ice, strong winds and light snowstorms are forecast in some places. Light ice is possible in western regions.
Nighttime temperatures will be 1-8 degrees below zero, and during the daytime temperatures will range from -4 degrees below zero to -2 degrees above zero.
On Monday, active frontal sections from the south of Sweden and warm Atlantic air masses will arrive in Belarus.
Cloudy weather is expected. There will be occasional precipitation in the form of wet snow and rain. In some areas, icy conditions and a light snowstorm are possible at night and in the morning.
Strong winds are forecast in some areas at night, in the morning and during the day in many areas.
At night there will be from 6 degrees below zero to 1 degree above zero, daytime temperatures will rise to +1-8 degrees.
