Employees of the department of state supervision over compliance with technical regulations and standards and state metrological supervision discovered unsafe clothing in the cities of Grodno and Lida.
Following the inspection, a decision was made to ban the import and sale of women's and children's clothing of the popular brand.
BELTA reported the results of the inspection with reference to Olga Sukach, Chief State Inspector of the Department of State Supervision of Compliance with Technical Regulations and Standards and State Metrological Supervision of the City of Lida.
Employees of the Grodno Regional Inspectorate of the State Standard carried out supervisory activities in relation to light industry products in one of the popular retail chains in Lida and Grodno.
As a result, clothing for adults and children was identified that did not meet the established requirements.

The manufacturer of the products is listed as the enterprise of the Republic of Poland (LPP SA), and the countries of production are Bangladesh, Myanmar and China.
According to the test results, the “air permeability” and “hygroscopicity” indicators were 2-3 times lower than the permissible norm.
As the expert noted, at such levels, human skin stops breathing, which can cause itching, irritation, allergic reactions and colds.
Considering the risk of negative consequences for human health when using the identified unsafe products, the State Standard decided to withdraw them from circulation and ban their import into the territory of the Republic of Belarus.
