On Tuesday, December 17, the State Traffic Inspectorate of Belarus will begin control measures to improve the safety of passenger transportation.
They will take place throughout the country. They will primarily affect public transport.
The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic reported this on its official Telegram channel.
It is noted that inspectors will pay special attention to the technical condition of regular buses.
In particular, this vehicle will be checked for the condition of its tires and the use of seat belts.
We are talking about category M2 buses, which operate intercity and suburban routes.
Among other things, daily medical examinations of drivers will be monitored.
Administrative measures will be taken against the heads of organizations that allowed faulty vehicles to be used, the State Traffic Inspectorate warned.
And they added: law enforcement officers will give a “fundamental assessment of each violation by an official.”
