It has recently become known that the situation with queues at checkpoints on the borders of Belarus with the EU countries is still tense.

As reported by the press service of the State Border Committee of the Republic on its official Telegram channel, as of the morning of November 25, almost 2,000 trucks had accumulated there.

And the number of passenger cars in front of the Polish checkpoint “Terespol” (on the Belarusian side – “Brest”) by ten o’clock on Monday morning was 136 units.

Over the weekend, adjacent control services processed 25 out of 70 cars per hour, i.e. 36% of the norm.

The State Border Guard Service noted that since Friday, November 22, the number of trucks in front of the Polish checkpoint “Kukuryki” (“Kozlovichi”) has increased 5 times – to 495 vehicles.

Over the weekend, the control services of the neighboring country allowed only 49% of the norm of heavy trucks into their territory, the report says.

Please note that at the moment the busiest route to EU countries is still Lithuania.

Since Friday, local control services at the Medininkai (Kamenny Log) and Šalčininkai (Beņakoni) checkpoints have allowed only 35% of transport to enter Lithuania.

Over the course of 2 days, 48% of trucks passed through the only functioning Latvian border crossing, Paternieki (Grigorovshchina), into the EU, the department reported.
