Germans and Estonians were the most likely to visit Belarus under the extended visa-free regime.
The press service of the State Border Committee reported this on Telegram.
According to the State Border Committee, in the two months since the introduction of the extended visa-free regime, approximately 6,000 citizens from 35 European countries have taken advantage of it.
The visa-free regime is most popular among Germans and Estonians – 2,333 and 1,193 tourists out of the total number of arrivals, respectively.
The top five countries whose residents are in demand for Belarusian visa-free travel also include Italy (379 people), Great Britain (218) and France (220).
Visa-free travel is still relevant for citizens of neighboring countries. Since the beginning of the year, 67,032 foreigners have arrived from Lithuania, 32,418 from Poland, and 14,633 from Latvia.
In total, 967,439 citizens of European countries have visited Belarus since April 15, 2022.
