The Government of the Russian Federation has approved a draft agreement on the mutual enforcement of court decisions.
This means that in the future, decisions made by the courts of Belarus and Russia will not require a special recognition procedure.
Details are reported by BELTA , with reference to the official legal Internet portal of the Russian Federation.
This project was developed with the Republic of Belarus, the resolution states.
It extends its effect to court decisions in civil and criminal cases in the part of a civil claim that obliges the defendant to pay the plaintiff money, as well as to compensate for the state fee, other legal costs and procedural expenses.
Judgments of one country that fall under this agreement will not require special recognition in another.
Possible disputes regarding the interpretation and application of the document are planned to be resolved through negotiations between the two states.
It is reported that the proposal to sign the agreement has been submitted to the Russian President.
