Belarusians were told the price of a New Year's banquet in the country's sanatoriums. The figure may surprise many.
It was announced by the director of the Republican Center for Health Improvement and Spa Treatment of the Population, Gennady Bolbatovsky.
According to the expert, the average cost of a New Year's banquet at a health resort in Belarus will cost the wallet 250 rubles.
However, he added, there are also those sanatoriums that have decided to refuse the New Year’s banquet.
Instead, vacationers are offered a festive program and “various locations with treats,” the Belta agency quotes the specialist as saying.
Why did these institutions decide to do this? Bolbatovsky answered this question.
They justify their decision as follows: in the sanatorium, dinner ends after six in the evening, and some people finish eating at eight o'clock.
And in two hours they will have to sit down at the table again, while they have to pay for the banquet.
According to the director, the sanatoriums have the right to do this, since “the occupancy rate in this institution, despite such a program, is also 100 percent.”
No one refused to participate in the New Year's program due to the lack of a New Year's banquet, Bolbatovsky assures.
