The Ministry of Labor has set the calculated standard of working hours for 2025

The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Belarus has established the calculated standard of working hours for the next year.

The department adopted the corresponding resolution No. 92 on November 15.

What is the estimated standard of working hours for 2025?

In accordance with Article 124 of the Labor Code, the government or authorized body annually establishes the calculated standard of working hours for a 5-day and 6-day work week.

Next year, the calculated standard, established on the basis of the full standard working hours of 40 hours per week (Article 112 of the Labor Code), will be: for a 5-day work week with days off on Saturday and Sunday – no more than 2,007 hours, for a 6-day work week with a day off on Sunday – no more than 2,010 hours.

Employers apply this standard to determine the number of employees and the duration of working hours during which employees are required to be at the workplace; to draw up work schedules (shifts); and to monitor compliance with the standards for working hours established by the Labor Code.

The document comes into force after official publication.
