Some categories of citizens are entitled to the services of a social worker.

The press service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Belarus reminds about this on Telegram.

Who is eligible for social worker services?

The list of social services provided depends on the state of health (indicated in the medical certificate of the functional class for self-service), individual needs, the presence of close relatives, and their place of residence.

FC is determined by doctors. FC1 – minor limitation of self-care ability. Social worker services are usually not required.

FK2 – moderate impairment. The minimum list of services includes: purchasing and home delivery of groceries, hot meals, essential goods, medicines, payment of housing and communal services, communication services, other payments, assistance in maintaining order in the house, washing, drying, ironing clothes, using postal and telephone services (writing and sending letters, clarifying and dialing a number, etc.).

Single and single citizens with FK2 are additionally provided with services for the delivery of water, fuel from storage, assistance with delivery, handing over things for washing (dry cleaning, repair) and delivering them to the home, lighting stoves, cleaning dust from ceilings and walls, changing curtains and drapes, washing windows.

FC3 – pronounced disorder, FC4 – sharply pronounced disorder (when a person is immobilized, unable to do anything at all).

In this case, in addition to the above, they provide assistance in dressing, changing, taking off clothes, changing/remaking bed linen, performing a number of sanitary and hygienic procedures, eating, and organizing a walk in the fresh air for half an hour.

Single and single citizens with FK3-FK4 are also entitled to more services for cleaning the house and the surrounding area (sweeping, washing the floor, cleaning the stove and sink (bath, toilet), washing the refrigerator, preparing to light the fire and lighting the stove).

In addition, social workers help prepare food, cook simple meals themselves, and deliver vegetables from storage.
