On November 18, the upper house of the Belarusian parliament approved a draft law on education issues.
The document was developed taking into account law enforcement practice to clarify some provisions of the Education Code.

Young professionals who were dismissed due to conscription into the army, but were not sent for military service, are offered a guarantee to occupy their previous position.
It is proposed that local authorities be authorized to organize free transportation of students within large populated areas to educational institutions and places where educational, cultural, sports and other events are held (currently, children are transported only to kindergartens and schools in rural areas).
Students in grades 9-11 will be able to master the educational program for training drivers of mechanical vehicles and self-propelled machines.
The Council of Ministers is proposed to be authorized to define in the Education Code cases of redistribution and redirection to work of young specialists. For example, to serve in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Customs Committee, the Investigative Committee.
In order to increase the responsibility of customers of targeted training, it is proposed to oblige them, in the event of unjustified termination/failure to fulfill the terms of the contract for targeted training, to reimburse the funds spent by the state on training a specialist.
Graduates from among orphans and children left without parental care will not have to reimburse the state for the funds spent in the event that it is impossible to provide them with a new job when redistributed in populated areas according to their place of residence/inclusion in the lists of those in need of improved housing conditions.
It is also proposed to establish a requirement for schoolchildren to adhere to a business style of dress and to exclude the right of individual entrepreneurs to implement educational programs of preschool and special education.
