On November 7, signature collection in support of the nomination of presidential candidates will begin in Belarus.
It is possible that fraudsters could take advantage of the situation.
The Chairman of the Central Electoral Commission, Igor Karpenko, explained how to distinguish real signature collectors from fraudsters.
His statement is cited by BELTA .
Firstly, we will provide information on initiative groups, including contact details, said the head of the Central Election Commission.
Secondly, Karpenko continued, the signature collector must have a laminated certificate with the signature of the CEC chairman and the CEC seal.
The ID does not have a photo, so it is only valid upon presentation of an identity document.
If you have any doubts after presenting your ID, it is better to stop communicating and not sign.
If necessary, you can clarify the information with your territorial election commission or the Central Election Commission.
