Lithuania has stopped processing trucks at two checkpoints on the border with Belarus.
The press service of the State Customs Committee of Belarus reported this on Telegram.
According to the State Customs Committee, the registration of trucks has been stopped at the checkpoints "Šalčininkai" ("Benyakoni") and "Medininkai" ("Kamenny Log").
Registration for entry into Lithuania ceased at 09:00, for entry into Belarus – at 12:00.
The Lithuanian side did not provide any reasons, the State Prosecutor’s Office noted.
According to the agency, currently around 1,000 vehicles are trying to leave for Lithuania through the indicated checkpoints.
The State Customs Committee asks carriers crossing the Belarusian-Lithuanian border to take this information into account. Additional information on the resumption of traffic will be provided.
