Internet users in some regions of Russia have encountered problems when trying to access certain resources.
In particular, the Dagestan operator reported violations in the work. Roskomnadzor commented on the situation.
The disruption in operation is related to the conduct of exercises in case of disconnection of the RuNet from the global network, TASS reports.
The efficiency of the “replacement infrastructure” is checked every year in case the shutdown of the RuNet is initiated from outside.
The exercises were conducted jointly with telecom operators.
The purpose of the events is to identify the effectiveness of the “key replacement infrastructure in the event of a deliberate shutdown of the Russian segment of the Internet from outside.”
The event allows us to identify information systems whose functionality depends on connections with foreign resources.
At the same time, the readiness of Russia’s infrastructure to ensure the operability of foreign and national services is determined if the shutdown is intentional.
