On November 8, a meeting of the ombudsmen of Russia and Ukraine took place in Belarus.
This was reported by the Russian Human Rights Commissioner Tatyana Moskalkova on her Telegram channel.
As Moskalkova reported, during the meeting with the Ukrainian parliament's commissioner for human rights, Dmitry Lubinets, an exchange of letters from prisoners to their relatives and lists of persons visited by mutual consent took place.
Further cooperation in providing assistance to civilians, including visiting prisoners, establishing their location and reuniting families, was discussed.
With the assistance of the Belarusian parliament, a reunion with the family of 91-year-old Anna Kondratyevna, who lived in the Cherkasy region of Ukraine, took place.
The son asked us for help in moving his mother to Russia, where he could look after her, the ombudsman said.
