Police told Belarusians in what cases they will be held accountable for pyrotechnics

New Year is just around the corner. That means some people are getting ready to have some fun with pyrotechnics.
However, not everything is so simple with this favorite pastime of many. The fact is that in some cases you can be brought to administrative responsibility.
The press service of the Brest Regional Executive Committee's Internal Affairs Directorate warned Belarusians about this on its official Telegram channel.
Increased danger
The police reminded that pyrotechnic products pose an increased danger.
According to law enforcement officials, the improper use of firecrackers and fireworks leads to injuries every year among both adults and children.
Citizens are strongly advised to purchase these products only in specialized stores.
When choosing a product, you need to pay attention to the expiration date and the integrity of the packaging.
In addition, you should carefully study the instructions for use of the product you are purchasing.
The regional police department emphasized that the use of pyrotechnics in Belarus is permitted only in deserted and safe locations.
What can you be punished for?
It is strictly forbidden to set off firecrackers and fireworks in public places.
To launch, you must move to the safe distance specified in the instructions from random passers-by, nearby buildings, structures and cars, the report says.
The following warning follows: administrative liability is provided for the use of pyrotechnics in violation of public order.
The police are also appealing to parents: they are asking them to explain to their children the risks associated with “fiery fun.”
