During the verification of operational data, a 43-year-old owner of a drug lab was detained, the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus reports.
Law enforcement officers learned that a 43-year-old resident of the Grodno region may be involved in drug trafficking.
This information was confirmed upon inspection. Marijuana was found in the suspect's apartment.
In the man’s country house, located in the Svisloch district, operatives discovered and seized almost 800 grams of the narcotic substance.
Fertilizers, growing containers, drying equipment and other items used in the production of narcotics were also found here.
As the detainee admitted, he began growing datura weed this year.
According to him, he prepared the potions for himself personally, but did not consider it shameful to distribute them among his circle of acquaintances.
A criminal case has been opened. For illegal drug trafficking with the intent to sell, the detainee could face up to 15 years in prison.
